Missing Bookmarks after yesterday's security update, can you help?
Last night Firefox/Mozilla said there was a security update. I installed it. Today when I opened Firefox all of my bookmarks are gone and I can't find them. I checked history and the only existing history is from today. Is there a way to recover them? This is my main issue... Some of these bookmarks I have had for years and I have no way to go back and research them in order to re-bookmark them.
After the last security update, I couldn't use Adobe add-ons, without getting it verified (I mean really - Adobe?) to print from the page. All of my passwords were gone and I can no longer save them in Firefox because the password manager, I have used for years, must be verified (it is one approved by Verisign, again really).
Missing bookmarks you've had for years with no way to replace it? Missing search history with no way to replace it? Unable to use common, reputable add-ons unless you get them verified yourself? Missing everything? Being required to sign up for sync - even if you don't want to sync it with your phone (if I wanted to do it all on my phone I wouldn't own a computer). Being forced to sign-up for a Firefox email?
Mozilla/Firefox has been my go-to browser but it is fast becoming my avoid it browser.
In the meantime, I really would like help recovering my bookmarks. Thanks

You are using a separate program / add-on for your passwords?
This will disable add-on signature enforcement; Enter about:config into your Firefox address bar Click the I'll be careful button Find xpinstall.signatures.required in the list Right click the preference Select Toggle until the value is false https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox
