Keyboard gives me a 'e (accent e) symbol instead of just a ' (feet)
Never happened before. Using Thunderbird 38.5.1. Trying to type an email to a carpenter and instead of a ' symbol (feet) I get an accented e, like 'e. Strange though why it's not doing it while I type this right now!? Could have been my cat walking across my laptop! How do I fix this? Thank you! Dale

Any chance you have the International Keyboard enabled?

I use the abcTajpu addon to allow me to mákè âçćëñtéd characters but I imagine you'd know if this was installed.
ISTR that on a windows machine, the alt-gr key might provide unexpected values from keystrokes. Unfortunately I don't have a windows machine to hand to check this.
