running TB38.6.0 on W10; freezes when I hit Attach button; Norton antivirus

I'm running Thunderbird 38.6.0 on Windows 10; I have Norton anti-virus and internet protection. When I hit the Attach button, TB freezes (not responding).

Are you attaching from a local drive, a network share of a usb device?
