is there away to reset thunder to original opening, somehoe I now have columns and can not open email as in the past

Some how I have columns on the right hand side of page. I have 4 email accounts operating in Thunderbird used to be able to see all accounts, now just one at a time.

Can not get a open email in normal folder must go to that in column.

Try View > Layout > Classic View, and make sure that View > Layout > Folder Pane is selected.
