I have tried to download Firefox and can't do it.

I an not very good with this computer stuff and don't understand the process. I have been trying to install Mozilla/Firefox and I can't get the program/app to do that. I have an HP 18 with WIndows 8.1. I have a DSL line with ATT but it is slow because they tell me I am too far away from the main switch box (or whatever) and they can't provide me with a faster speed so I am stuck with the slowest speed but still faster than dial up. I need some help and can't seem to get any. I really need to talk to someone directly on the phone to get this done.
