Firefox keeps resetting back to default and removing my settings. Is there a fix to this?

No matter what version of firefox I have, if I close firefox and click on it again, it will reset my settings and go back to default. Is there a fix to this? Its driving me insane. Ive tried everything from uninstall and reinstall to going into the the about:config and seeing if that .js is there. Ive tried to disable add-ons (although the only ones there are the default) and nothing seems to be working. Please say there is a fix to this.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

I do have advanced system care. Are you telling me to uninstall it?

Open its settings and have it leave the browsers alone.

This did not fix the problem. Do you have any other ideas?

Did you check out the link I posted? Make sure nothing in the profile folders is Read-Only.
