Firefox painfully slow to open

Thinking of ditching Firefox it is repeatedly slow to open then i get 4 or more windows open by clicking on the Firefox icon compared to Opera which is faster .

Are those windows your choice as your Home Page? What are these pages? Any clips or pictures on them?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
