I'm having trouble saving images from imgur via firefox, they save but I'm unable to view the image. If I save the same image via another browser, it's fine.
When I save an image onto my laptop via firefox, and attempt to theview the image in either Paint or Google's Picasa is says that the image can not be opened. I've tried with multiple different images on google and imgur, and it's always imgur pictures that can't be opened, but only if they're saved from firefox. When I tried with the same images on chrome, it was fine. I have adblocker but thats made no difference to the problem. Not really sure how to fix this, not a problem I've ever encountered before. Hopefulyl the troubleshooting info might help

The problem seems to have fixed itself in the end....I don't know if it was something Imgur had done but it seems to working fine now.

One possibility is that the file extension is incorrect. By default, Windows will hide the .jpg, .gif, and .png file extensions, so as a first step toward checking this, I recommend setting Windows to show all file extensions. See: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-show-file-extensions-in-windows/
If Firefox is consistently omitting or misspelling the extensions (e.g., .jpeg instead of .jpg) we can try to help figure out the source of the problem.
There are some cases where the website delivers an error page -- HTML code -- but Firefox saves it with the original file name. So that definitely is not a valid image. In those cases, the files tend to be small and they won't have a normal thumbnail. To check the file contents, you can try opening it in a text editor such as Notepad, or rename the file to have a .html extension and open it in Firefox.
Are you saving the actual image or is this an HTML file that opens a page to this image?
What happens if you drag the file in a Firefox window?
