FF hangs and does not respond
I have a laptop (LT) & a desktop (DT) both Win10, 64 bit with newest FF 64 bit BUT LT crashes/non-responds instantly & need to use Edge but DT is fine. Why??
What FF troubleshooting reports can I compare from the 2 computers that will id the problem. I've used FF back to single digit versions but now using Edge on LT. Help please - I posted this same issue 3 weeks ago and have gotten no response.
I've refreshed but same prob. Same in Safe Mode. Just now renamed pref file to recreate it.

A freeze/nonresponsive sometimes means that the computers CPU is being overworked.
A crash should create a crash report that you need to send to the Mozilla servers.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.
