sync wont work even after new installing
Hello,
I have a problem with sync. Sync works at home on my PC and on my Laptop but not in the office - since about 4 weeks.
Meanwhile I spent 4 hours with that problem. I tried lots of things including this: I uninstalled Firefox and moved the complete profile folder (...appdata\roaming\mozilla) to another location (c:\tmp). I installed FF but sync does not work (Yes, I am connected to my FF-account).
I also tried these things: - i tried to backup the bookmarks but no file is created - i tried to export them but no file is produced (not on the whole disk) - i deactivated antivirus - i tried to use XMarks as a workaround but xmarks also cannot read my bookmarks. - i can save webpages as a bookmark, i can drag and drop single bookmarks to any win - folder - in the sync-log some problem with the places database is shown (database disk image is malformed) - but as i mentioned above i reinstalled FF completely including a new profile folder. However i also tried a simple deletion of the places-file, a new one was created but sync dont work.
Now i'm out of ideas and could need a little help :)

no Idea anyone? How can i uninstalll FF absolute completely?

Should not have waited so long to contact back, nor spend the time doing what you did. Support is done by Volunteers so If nobody around it will end up on the 3rd page and I have never been there yet.
No one knows much on Sync at all. I do not use it. This is all I have on Sync :

If you want you bookmarks they will be in HTML, drag and drop into any browser window :
Reuse your Profile :
uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) C:\Users\<your name used>\Appdata\Local\
If you think the above will fixed it I doubt it. Maybe start getting emails.
