extensions.pocket.enabled=FALSE but about:networking still has getpocket.cdn.mozilla.net=ACTIVE

Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0

I used about:config to set extensions.pocket.enabled=false (was true by default), and then I did RESTART my firefox 57.0.

But in about:networking I still see getpocket.cdn.mozilla.net row with value "1" in its Active column. There's also a row for img-getpocket.cdn.mozilla.net, but not sure I can catch it when active.

How do I disable pocket, BUT ALSO prohibit any/all related network access?

(i.e. How to stop it within firefox. I realize I can customize my OS hosts file to achieve similar effect, provided can track down exhaustive list of all the related sites that may appear).

Thanks for the great browser!

YES! Had already done the about:config thing, but: use sprocket on NewTab page to disable Pocket-Recommendations, and then clearing cache contents, so far has solved the problem.
