Can't tell Firefox to open links in new window on the same screen.

So my issue is this:

I have a dual screen setup, with Firefox maximized on my 2nd monitor. Everytime i click a link that opens up a new window, it displays that window on my main monitor instead of my secondary one. Is there a way to make it always open on the other screen instead? I know about the "trick" that i should restore the size on my firefox window, close it down and reopen it again and maximize it again, but that's not working here. I tried to find a extension/addon that does this, but couldnt find a concluding one...

I never had this problem with Chrome (recently switched back), so just wondered if there was a fix to this...

Screens always open on the designated Main Screen it might be a Windows option that probably controls where they open.

Maybe, but its just strange since i didn't have this issue in Chrome. Some of the websites i visit frequently have this behavior by default, so it's slightly annoying :P
