On the main 'Mail' tab, there is a "Calendar" button so you don't have to click the calendar tab. Is there a "Mail" button so you can do the same from the Calendar tab? In other words, you are working on your Calendar, and you want to go back to mail so you click the "Mail" button.

Doesn't make sense to me. What's the benefit clicking a button compared to clicking a tab? It's just one click. Also, how does the button know which tab you want to go back to?

Having a calendar button makes sense, because typically the calendar tab isn't open yet when Thunderbird starts. Hence there is no calendar tab to click on at that time.

I'm guessing your eyesight is still pretty good ;)

The button is just easier to see, that's all. Maybe I've just gotten used to it, but the tabs are pretty slender in the Nautipolis theme. Plus it just seems more consistent if you have a button to go one way, then have a button to go back.

I see your point about the tab not being open, though. I keep my Calendar open all the time... If I close TB with calendar tab open, it will be open next time I open TB, so I think of the button more like switching windows rather than opening a new window.
