Hi Paul_Matthews, do you have this on Firefox for Android or on Windows?

If this is the zip code in a web page, usually websites look up your location based either on:

  • Your current IP address, which is determined by the service provider's network (either home internet service provider, office service provider, or wi-fi hotspot service provider).
  • Information you previously gave to the site (e.g., in a social profile).

Websites also can ask Firefox for more specific location information. On Windows, that would show up in a little panel dropping down from the address bar, since your permission is needed. On Android, I think there would be a pop-up. If you give permission, nearby wi-fi access points are used to find your location through Google data.

If the problem is not with a web page but with a saved address, you could delete or edit that. See: Automatically fill in your address on web forms.
