imported passwords not working
I am getting really frustrated with the process of Firefox and restoring old data. I had to reinstall everything on my computer, and so had to reinstall FF. I have my old data, with passwords, etc, yet NOTHING is working! None of my old passwords are showing up, and so I'm at the point of wondering why to use FF if it's going to be such a pain. If you cant tell, this is very irritating to me.
I have copied the old data into the new profile AND renamed the old profile the same as the new one, as a video tutorial said. I also read an article from Moz support. Nothing has helped, or worked. Can someone please explain why, or more importantly, how to resolve this?
Thanks

Hi, you say nothing about why your importing. It could be a possibility they are corrupted.
- logins.json (passwords) and key4.db (58+) or key3.db (57 and older) (decryption key) for Passwords saved in the Password Manager
- if you only have key3.db then make sure to remove an existing key4.db

Hello Pkshadow, thanks for post. 1. I said I was importing because I had to restore my computer. 2. i did import logins.json & key3; i also deleted key4, because my old FF data had key3 3. I shut down FF and reopened, yet when i go to sites, my email for example, it does NOT pull up my password info, nor does it let me select from a list of usernames, like before
