0xffffffff error
I am using Windows 2000 with a version of thunderbird 3.1.20 which has run perfect for a long time until I got the following error and crash:
Instruction at 0x77fcb0c8 Reference memory at 0xffffffff
This only applies when opening thunderbird.
Can you please assist me with a fix for this?
Many Thanks Martin

That sort of error is often caused by anti virus programs or add-ons. However neither Windows 2000 or Thunderbird 3 are still supported, so I really think you might need to update both.
Thanks Matt. On that particular machine I have some old specialised software which won't work if I update the operating system. Might see if there is anyway around this problem regarding the anti virus progs or add-on's. It has worked fine for years until now!! Thanks again
