When I try to download a file it fails because I have a bad internet connection. I would like to change the timeout so that it will keep trying. Thank you.

This is a Windows issue that closes a connection automatically after about 20 seconds. Other browsers may retry in such a case, but Firefox doesn't do this. If you have connection issues then best is to use an external download manager that has more features.
