When I click on a link on a website, it does open up a tab with the URL on top, but it doesn't load the page unless I put my mouse at the end of the url, and click enter. Am I missing a setting or is this normal? I would have thought like other browsers it would automatically load the page.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
