When clicking on a link in a search engine, how can I get Firefox to open a full-sized window for the targeted page?

In the attached example (which is having trouble uploading so might not appear), I was searching for "leap year" and clicked on the "almanac" link. You can see that the window that opened is not full screen and opened at the top right. I'd like it to open a full-sized window for pages/tabs that open using a search engine. What setting/option will do this?

Thanks.
