I'm trying to attach a 7.8 MB file to an email using a link to Box. I'm enrolled in Box, as a Personal user, and I sent one email with link successfully. But since then, no luck, though I've tried multiple times. Thank you!

Use your browser to upload the file and

send an email to the receiver so that he can download the

file.

Hi, Johann,

Thanks for trying to help me.
I think that's what I did.

After I typed my message into my email, I clicked on "attach," and then I clicked on my pdf, and then I clicked on FileLink to link to Box. But I keep getting a message that says "Unable to upload SCPSonomaWestPublishers.pdf to Box." Any further ideas? Thank you! Mary

Box, like many of the filelink providers change their upload protocols frequently. For this reason Thunderbird 68 which will be probably release in the next week or two no longer has a built in box entry. you will have to install an addon for each provider you with to use.

This means that the protocols can be updated when the changes occur, rather than wait until a Thunderbird release which might be weeks or months away.

I know this does not help you right now, but I felt some explanation was in order.

providers can be found here https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/search/?q=filelink&appver=&platform=

Note the add-on for box, that only works with Thunderbird version as yet unreleased.

Hi Mary You can still use Box - as Johann mentioned earlier. It is just a multi-step process instead of just having Thunderbird do it all for you. 1) Log in to your Box account and upload the file. 2) Create a share link to the document in Box, and copy it. 3) Compose an email in Thunderbird and paste the link into it. Then your recipient can use the link to access your document. I hope this helps, Agnes
