Hello.

I'm writing a message in Outlook that contain a hyperlink to a shared location in network (ex.: \\192.168.20.11\foldername). I'm sending this message to a person that use Thunderbird as email client. When he is receiving this email, the link name is ok (\\192.168.20.11\foldername) but when he goes with mouse over this link it's show only file:///foldername. So the IP address is not there, and he cannot access that link because of this. Do you have any ideea what can I do to fix this problem?

If I go in my send folder in Outlook and check that email, the link is ok and I can access it. If I send that email to another person that have Outlook, is also ok. That happens only in Thunderbird. Please check also the attached file.

Thanks in advance, Andrei

I think you have to alter the syntax for UNC links sent to a TB user, and the recipient has to add some policy preferences through the Config. editor:
