I'm using a profile on a shared disk between Windows10 and Ubuntu 18.04 for a long time. Since the update to version 68.4.1 there is the message "A newer version of Thunderbird may have made changes to your profile which are no longer compatible with this older version. Use this profile only with that newer version ...." by the Windows-installation. TB version 68.4.1 is installed on both systems (32 Bit Version on Windows, 64 Bit on Ubuntu). I modified the files profiles.ini on both systems (see attachment), on Ubuntu I don't have any problems. I didn't get the solution to this problem. I hope so much someone can help me. Thanks !!!

TB 68 is very sensitive to profiles previously accessed by new versions, being opened in older versions, even point releases. Until you get a complete solution, you could launch the Windows TB from the command line with the --allow-downgrade argument to bypass the warning.
