Glitchy/distorted images & text occasionally display on websites
I have problems similar to post 9months ago, "Glitchy/distorted text occasionally displays on websites". I get distorted images as well as text on various websites when I use Firefox as my browser on my desktop PC. Tried clearing cache etc but didn't help. Had PC company in to look: he said there is a (rendering) code browsers use to interpret what is presented to them, but most websites set their sites up with codes to work for Chrome and don't consider Firefox. His solution was to use Chrome to get round this. But I do prefer Firefox especially for Bookmarks as sidebar. Have saved screenshots from today, one badly distorted, then same screen but few minutes later with only minor problem with the text. Can't figure out how to attach them here as in a Word document not a picture file format! Thanks for any help.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Settings -> General: Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use hardware acceleration when available" - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/performance-settings
Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting to make changes effective.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
Here are a few ways to share screenshots:
(1) Save as an image file on your computer, then attach to a reply
For example, capture the screen, then paste into the Windows Paint application and save to PNG or JPEG format.
(2) Save the image on an image sharing site
There are a bunch of these, but I don't know whether it is worth creating a new account just for this.
(3) Share your Word document using a separate folder on your Microsoft OneDrive, or Google Drive, or Dropbox, etc.
When providing a sharing link, try to limit the permissions to that folder or even that specific individual file. Do not share ALL of your documents.
Thank you Cor-el I removed the two checkmarks as you suggested and so far so good! Have tried 3 websites this morning and no problems so far. Also thank you jscher. I have used your first option and saved the screenshots as an image in Paint. I have attached them here; First image shows the distorted picture at its worst, then minutes later it cleared but some text was still luminous as shown in screenshot2. Thanks both. Very grateful you took the time to help me.
