I switched my internet from one Mac to a newer one but I have hundreds of bookmarks that I need to copy over. I found and copied the profile document that holds all of the old bookmarks but I don't know where to put it in the new High Sierra OS folders. They are not the same as the old Mac OS has. The old OS has folders in, User, (my name), Library, App Support, Firefox, and Profiles where the bookmarks are stored. - - - Anyone know what folders these have to go into in High Sierra? - Will be most appreciated!

Copy Bookmarks

These instructions are for Firefox. Other browsers should also be able to do this.

These instructions will combine the new bookmarks with the old.

Open the Bookmarks Manager; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the toolbar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B. Firefox 84+ <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> O.

Once the window is open, at the top of the page, press the button labeled Import and Backup. Select Export Bookmarks To HTML, and follow the prompts and save it to a HTML file. Copy the file to another computer/profile. Repeat the instructions above, BUT select Import Bookmarks From HTML.

The above would be better than trying to Copy the data files.

You could also use sync.
