App instantly crashes/freezes

When i open the app, it immediately becomes unresponsive and refuses to load. When i switch out and back in, it acts like im opening it for the first time, which leads me to believe its crashing.

This only happened recently, so it must've been an update (either ios or the app, i cant be sure on the timeline) that broke things.

I do have a bajillion tabs open, but thats never been a problem before - i use firefox solely for browsing AO3

And i cant even close any because its completely unresponsive…
