Since the latest firefox update to 96.0 has search results page layouts all messed up. The initial firefox search page turns to dark mode (though I was able to get it back to white) but cannot correct the page layout look.

Make sure you haven't enabled High Contrast Mode in the OS settings.

Make sure you allow pages to choose their own colors.

  • Settings -> General: Fonts & Colors -> Colors: "Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above"

Try "Never" if the default "Only with High Contrast themes" isn't working.

The above, or maybe the custom colors option in the latest update -96.1- appears to have solved the issue.
