Bookmark display
My list of bookmarks that used to automatically display down the left side of my screen are now relegated to a heading in the bookmarks toolbar at the top of the page. This is completely useless to me. What happened to the display down the left side, and how can I stop this from NEVER changing in the future? I've had this happen before, and every time it does it takes me half a day to find the hidden solution to the problem.

you can either press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B or, add the optional Sidebars button to the toolbar (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars) Or, if you display the optional menu bar, View > Sidebar > Bookmarks
