Hi Gus

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox.

Assuming you are saving the files with a normal file extension (such as .doc or .docx for Word and .xls and .xlsx for Excel), the issue is more that the recipients may not have the software to open them, rather that the way that you are sending the files.
