Self-Expanding Browser Page Size

more options

The latest version of Firefox that I just installed has a very annoying page resizing behavior. What happens is the page I have open in Firefox automatically expands to a full page on my monitor and disallows showing any other open tabs in Firefox. When I mouse up to the top of the screen, the open tabs show up again. But it is annoying that Firefox self-selects this page expansion behavior. Is there any way to turn this behavior in Firefox off?

Try to rename/remove xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).

You can try "Clear the startup cache..." via the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

Firefox doesn't normally switch on "full screen" on its own, and opening a new tab using Ctrl+T usually turns it off. So that behavior is very unusual.

If you press the F11 key to toggle between full screen and normal, does it work?

If the full screen is caused by a script in a web page, tap the Esc key to exit full screen instead of F11.
