Thunderbird 115 (Linux) shuts down after I close a message

I just installed Thunderbird 115 on Linux. When a message arrives and I open it, when I close the message, Thunderbird closes. That means of course that I have to reopen the program. There must be some way to fix this. I haven't figured out all the problems yet, but if I can just get an answer to this one, I'll have enough confidence to figure out what else is wrong with the program.

Ok, I've figured out 115's problem. Just a matter of getting used to 115.
