Cannot open more websites all the time now
I can no longer open Nordstrom.com website, Chewy.com website, and now Costco.com websites? I even changed passwords on those accounts but firefox will no longer open. It just sits there doing nothing when i sign in, even if i disable the shield? Why and why are more and more websites doing this on Firefox yet Google Chrome allows me to, so i have to open Google Chrome to be able to get to websites i used to open on Firefox. Please Fix as this is Very Annoying!!!

What version of Firefox and OS are you using? I have no problems so lets see - but I'll say here I'm not an expert.
Supposedly Windows 10, which is what updates are done for in settings, but sometimes I see it says I am using Windows 8?? I never had Windows 8 (but previously I did have Windows 7 before I bought this Windows 10 Desktop) But why would the websites open in Google Chrome then?
Thank you....gloria
Oh Sorry, you are asking what version of Firefox...I just checked...It says I have the latest version, which is 115.15 0ser installed successfully on 04 Sept, 2024
Thanks for letting us know that Gloria! I think the issue might be you have a business edition of Firefox. It's called Firefox for Enterprise. And usually that is used by corporations and companies for their employees.
Since you're on your own personal computer and it has Windows 10, it should be more than good enough to use the main version of Firefox that everyone else uses.
You can install it from here: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-latest-ssl&os=win64&lang=en-US
Then open this different version of Firefox and please test those sites again and let us know if they work. I believe this Firefox will also have the same icon as the other one, so you will need to see where the new icon shows up and then use that Firefox from now on. I just hope your favorite sites work correctly in the regular Firefox.
Check that you do not run Firefox in compatibility mode. You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab. Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
