Greetings, I received an email today from notifications@support.mozilla.org informing me that I have a new private message. The message was inappropriate. The email was in my Inbox, not the Junk folder. I viewed the Message Source information and the content is similar to legitimate email notifications I have received in the past from notifications@support.mozilla.org. I checked the Return Path and glanced at all the information but perhaps I do not know what to look for.

Can someone offer me any guidance as to what to do about this? If the message source is legitimate as it appears to be, was Mozilla's community support forum hacked? Normally I would put an email like this in the Junk folder and block the sender, but if the email address is legitimate then I'm not sure how to proceed. Is there a Mozilla email address for reporting emails like this? I can't change my email address associated with my Mozilla account so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

This is a automated email notification that you received a Private Message on this community forum as you can see your Inbox at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/messages/ and your profile icon on top right should also have a red dot informing you of one or more PMs in inbox. The email subject I got was "[SUMO] You have a new private message from .. " shows it was about a PM revived on support.mozilla.org.

There is or was a user account here that was sending obscene/abusive PMs to random users as I received such a PM also. The account is deactivated.

Also in the future, if you have a issue with support.mozilla.org it would be better to post in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/forums/contributors/

Thank you James, I appreciate your prompt reply. Also, thank you for correcting me as to the proper location for my inquiry. I clicked the Firefox icon by mistake out of habit, as that is where I normally post questions, but this obviously was not a Firefox issue. Sorry about that. Thank you again for your assistance.
