I updated my version to use facebook and since then I have no toolbar. I loaded yahoo as my homepage and there is no toolbar on that either

Hit the Alt key (Cmd for Mac) to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
