Receiving messages in the error console I don't understand
Still having problems with certain websites placing cookies for me. I've looked in the error console & keep getting - images.scanalert.com : potentially vulnerable to CVE-2009-3555 but with other various URL prefixes too but always the CVE code. I did briefly see a javascript error but it disappeared on me. Help!

Hello Paul.
You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
The message about CVE-2009-3555 is meant for webmasters to make them aware that they need to fix their servers. Firefox 3.6 versions can detect such a misconfiguration and displays a warning in the "Tools > Error Console".
Thanks for your prompt responses. I'm still having the same problem I'm afraid. It seems worse now as nearly every website I go to comes up with the same CVE error. So obviously something amiss with my laptop. I've tried a PC @ work & it placed a cookie on that PC using a hoplink that won't work on my laptop. I've just uninstalled old java 6 update 13 & enabled java console 6.0.20 haven't got a clue what to do next I'm @ wits end!
Paul, try running Firefox in safe mode to easily disable all add-ons, and see if those issues are still there.
What exactly are your problems? The CVE warning is just a warning for website administrators (this may change in the future though) and shouldn't cause problems.
If you have a problem with cookies then try to delete cookies.sqlite.
Try to clear the cookies from sites that cause problems. If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. You can rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I've still got probs. Tried safe mode & disabled all add ons no good, cleared all cookies & cache no good. Deleted cookies.sqlite no good. My main prob is with clickbank. I've tested my hoplinks on the order page of various products & a cookie should be placed on my laptop to tell me that I'd be credited with a sale.
