My URL bar disappeared, yet when I click on "view" and select "toolbars" the navigation bar option is already checked. What do I do?!?!

My URL box has disappeared... yet both the back and forth buttons are still visible, as well as the home and refresh buttons. This is not a matter of me clicking on "view," highlighting "toolbars," and selecting "navigation toolbar," for it is already checked. Where my URL bar should be is a blank surface aside from the navigation buttons... I'm so confused.

Use the Customize option to make sure the Location bar is on the toolbar. See Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars
