When I type keywords in a search in the main URL address bar, Firefox chooses the best site and takes me to it instead of bringing me to Google search where I can pick the site I want to visit. I've had this problem before. Any help would be great.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Location_Bar_search Check the pref keyword~46~URL on the about:config page, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyword%2eURL

Set the pref keyword.URL to : http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q= --- To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
