When some of the people i am trying to show my demo to try to load this web page with v3.5.x of FF they player is just a blank box. I am using the generated code for embedding the swf and flash builder 4, they claim to have Flash Player 10 and the script is set to check the player version and offer a download if the user is not current

Try upgrading to Shockwave Flash Player 10.1 I think you are using version 10.

Do not use that version because it had a exploited hole that Adobe has patched in 10.1

That crash is caused by the Flash plugin. Firefox 3.6.4 will actually run plugins separately from Firefox, so if one them crashes it won't take Firefox down with it. To update Firefox, see Update Firefox to the latest release
