Question says it all. I was using my daughters Vista system and accessing the web via Firefox. Got a Mozilla/Firefox update. Ran that (automatically) but when I tried to restart Firefox now get 'server not found' for any/all websites. Tried applying recommended changes (including turning off firewall) and total restart of system but.... same problem throughout. Network is fine as is broadband connection... Over to you? Ha! Problem 'fixed'! It appeared that the system was doing automatic MS background system updates that was stopping the earlier Firefox update from finishing!! Why this should produce this message I cannot say but once the MS updates finished so the Firefox update finished and everything came up ok?? Might it not be sensible to check if there are any other updates going on before letting the Firefox update run 'automatically'! TOO MUCH 'automation' round here. Must go back to pen, paper and slide rule??
