You can normally ignore any messages in the error console, it is quite normal for there to be a lot of warnings. Those messages are mainly intended for web developers. Do you have a problem that caused you to go to the error console?

I don't want to ignore the darn error console, I want to get rid of it. I don't know why it started popping up, but I'm tired of it and it's only been an hour. I'm not a web developer and I haven't been playing around with my tabs. So, instead of telling us to blindly ignore it, please tell us how to get rid of it.

Why the thing comes up I don't know but I do know it just started. Since I've had this computer for 3 years without this problem I think it's probably on your end rather than mine.

Thanks, Linda

Some mouse gesture extensions can cause the Error Console window to appear.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
