I have problems when I like "Print" from a website - I only get a blank paper, no text!!
When I visit the website of my bank for example and like to have my account printed out by pointing at the "Print out" bar - the printer starts and prints out a blank paper with no information at all.

Try the reset described here:

Sorry, but the remedies suggested don't solve this problem, at least not for me. It is quite new - since version 4, I think. An example: trying to print out my bank statement, File>Print Preview shows the 'printer friendly' version correctly, but attempt to print just produces a single-line header, with the rest of the page blank. My bank is not the only site I have this problem with. No problem with IE on same sites.
Philip.
Don't use the File menu to print, but rather the link your bank provides. It should be visible on the page somewhere, but if you can't find it, then call them. Some banks only support Internet Explorer.
In my case ff doesn't print plain text, only the images. After a reset the problem still exist.
When I print from Firefox, the printer (Canon MP560 if it makes any difference) produces a neat pile of blank pages... eg if print preview shows 4 pages, the printer will produce 4 pages, without a drop of ink. At least I'm saving on ink.
Have tried reseting the profile as suggested (indeed deleting all the printer lines in the profile when FF isn't running), but makes no difference, profile is just recreated and printer still producing blank pages.
Problem started after upgrading FF2 (or was it FF1, I can't remember now) to FF4 (FF1/FF2 was printing fine). Every other application still prints fine, including IE8. I have XP, 1GB memory.
I am desperate to get away from IE (huge memory leaks and hangs up the PC badly in tandem with internet security software) and I need a browser with a flexible and reliable print facility as I print a lot from the web. Chrome doesn't cut it, am not sure if I should try Opera
Any other ideas? Help much appreciated
