I have FF installed to Win2k on a hard disk. I have installed Win7 on a new hard disk and I want to move passwords from the old installation to the new one.

It would be great if I could move all the links I get when I click the http://........ field also.

You can retrieve these from your old Profile. See Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data which explains what they contain, and Managing Profiles for an explanation of how to move your data to the new profile.

I don't know if the reason I can't find Profiles (or equivalent) is that I am using a Norwegian version of FF, version 4.0.1.

I have tried to download an English version but all download links I try I get redirected to the Norwegian Download. Seems like a real Catch22. Would be great if language versions were selectable.

Try going to http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.html and then download the language version you want from here: www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

The Anonymouse server is located in the Seychelles, so you should get the English version offered to you.
