keep getting this warning:See below. seems to be mainly to do with bbc website, although maybe others. Have got rid of most addons etc to try to stop this, don't have chrome.
'Warning:Unresponsive Script, a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script chrome://fctoolbar841468a1d7f44bd384e6bb0f13a06c64/content/fctoolbar.js:1 this sometimes stops Firefox opening, and delays new page opening with Mac's spinning disc. Using Firefox 3.6.17, don't want to upgrade because my version of 1Password doesn't work with 4. Have Mac Snow Leopard latest version. This is really getting annoying, slowing down Firefox a lot.

Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions -> fctoolbar -> Disable, restart Firefox, check for the issue. Does this work for you?
don't have fctoolbar in my list of extensions, could it be connected with any of these: 1Password, Autofill Forms, Delicious Bookmarks, Nectar Search Toolbar, WOT 20110323. These are all my extensions. Thanks
Does disabling all of them (temporarily, we can re-enable them later) solve the issue? If yes, then re-enable them one by one to see when the issue appears.
I will try this and get back to you. It may take some time because the warning doesn't always immediately come on Firefox startup.
Seems to have been the Nectar Search Toolbar that was causing the problem. I'll just have to do without the points. Thanks for the help.
I found I had this problem when i logged on this morning. Yesterday I had updated 2 addons - Nectar Toolbar and Microsoft.NET. I have disabled both, then activated them one at a time. It seems to only happen when the Nectar Toolbar is active, so maybe its a bug with the Nectar update.
I had this problem after trying to uninstall ShopToWin9 and EpicPlayGames. The javascript had shown up in Tools->Add-ons->Extensions as "ShopToWin9". I will report back here if this turns out not to have solved the problem. NOTE that you will also need to uninstall ShopToWin9 (and EpicPlayGames, if you also have that) in Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs.
