When saving jpegs from a web image library to disk everything works fine until I change to a different directory. The first jpeg saves correctly, into the new directory, and sometimes the second and third but Firefox then switches back and starts saving the jpegs in the originally selected directory, or even the one before that. This has never happened before.

The problem is still occurring. It started when I updated to Firefox 7, several days ago.

Did you tried changing the Download Directory ??

OR Did you selected the option for Firefox to Ask me where to save files ??

I've tried both options / general / save files to and changing the directory on the fly when doing a right click / save image as. In the past I've never had problems with either (they certainly work much better than Internet Explorer) but since I upgraded to Firefox 7 I've had nothing but problems.

I've cleared all the download history and set the default save directory to the Windows Vista Pictures directory. This works fine but it's no better than Internet Explorer. The minute I change the directory whilst doing a save image as the problem reccurs.
