Every time the download manager opens Firefox freezes. It does this in safe mode with all addons and extensions turned off. It does not appear to report a crash in about:crashes. I have the most recent version of all addons, extensions, Windows, and Firefox. Once I restart Firefox the item will download fine as long as the download manager is not opened. If it is opened it will freeze without 1 second without fail.

Does the issue still occur with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile

If not, since the crash id isn't be generated, please provide a stacktrace -> https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report

Try to delete the file downloads.sqlite and a possible downloads.sqlite-journal file.
