when i download programs, it prompts me to open the download with another program rather than run.exe...how do i fix this?

I am trying to download a driver for my netgear wireless router. Every time I try to download i am prompted to open or save the driver by choosing from a list of programs. shouldn't this go directly to run.exe? how do i correct?

try running the default exe option below and let me know of how it goes
