I'm running FIREFOX 12, but my add-ons manager is only working half of its total features. Features that are work are....recent updates, available updates, plug-ins and appearance! Features NOT working are....extensions, get add-ons and search.

Now, by not working, what exactly do you mean? Can you not open those pages, can you not see anything on them, can you open then and see things but can't click, etc.

Try to start Firefox in Safe mode. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works fine in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Start in Safe Mode again, but this time click the checkbox to disable all add-ons. Then re-enable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
