I've got the most current version of Adobe Flash installed but still can't play videos that play fine with Safari. Don't know if it an extension, plug-in, or ? problem.

When I click on a video, I don't get a message such as missing plug-in or anything. I just get a page with a blank space where the video should be.

Hi wonteach,
You're replying to a thread that is over a month old. The cause of your issues may be different from gmattox, so if the solutions here don't work for you, and you're not the person who started this thread, you should use https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new where volunteers can get more details about your setup.

To correct some misinformation:

  • when it comes to websites not behaving correctly, the cause is usually a corrupt or incorrect cookie, or a file in the cache that hasn't been cleared. It may not happen to you, but there are people that analyze support forums for common issues and solutions that are confirmed to work by the person asking the question. And I can tell you from experience doing browser support for 10 years, it's the most common working solution for other people's website issues. :)
  • Internet Explorer uses a different plugin architecture than other browsers. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NPAPI . Google has a deal with Adobe to bundle a version of Flash specifically for Chrome, which is also why when you go to the Adobe website to download Flash, they try to force you to install Chrome.

Because this thread is so old and more people might start using it for their own questions, I'm going to lock it.
