How do I stop the "reminder"/"warning" notices ?

I have an older no-intel Mac. I'm running the latest "compatible" Firefox with the latest "compatible" plug-ins on it. I keep getting the yellow "warning" bar across the top of the browser insisting that I update my plug-ins. This is very annoying, especially knowing that I Cannot update them... How can I get rid of this warning message? I've tried "clicking through" to the update page, but am always told that my system is not compatible with the new plug-ins. Then when I go back to the page I was on, the bar appears again. I've tried closing the yellow bar only to have it reappear on the next page I open. This gets very annoying! can someone please help?
