I am operating vista. Firefox has installed auto updates when this happens I am unable to access the browser. I have had to restore pc to early point. It happened again today and I am unable to restore. I can also not access Explorer. Is there a work around?

There are many possible reasons for this. Can you work through the list in this troubleshooting article and let us know whether it helps?

Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can

Edit: If the IE problem is new, this might also help: Firefox and other browsers can't load websites. But if IE hasn't worked for a while, then it's probably not as relevant.
