In Windows 7, how do you get Firefox 13 to write to a disk cache, if a previous session has cleared the cache on exit (and deleted the cache folder)?
i want Firefox to save info to a disk cache so i can use it. And when i close Firefox, i want to erase the cache, so that info will be gone and my next session will start with an empty cache. i have done this automatically since Firefox 1. (Early versions asked me in a dialog box; in later versions "tools->options->privacy->use custom settings for history" was required.) But when i do this in Firefox 13, my next session no longer saves info into a disk cache. It disables writing to a disk cache. It seems that was done on purpose. Do i now have to manually clear my cache every time i exit firefox?

Yes, see this bug report:
- bug 709262 - Disable disk cache for users who have "Clear private data at shutdown"
(please do not comment in bug reports)
Firefox will still use the memory cache.
